Meet Mia!
Mia is a fun, exuberant mix from North Carolina! This lovely lady has boundless energy and is ready for someone who can put it to good use! She is ready to be a star at obedience classes or agility. Mia is really in need of a family who will be able to let her stretch her legs to their full potential every single day - neighborhood walks are not enough for this athlete. She''d love to be a running or jogging partner, or have someone who wants to particpate in dog sports in their fenced yard to allow her to run!
At the moment, Mia is very jumpy and right in your face when she is excited or meeting someone. She also does get mouthy, particularly when she''s getting ready to go for a walk or playtime. This would be quite a lot for little kids, so she''s looking for older kids who are comfortable with a dog of her size and energy level.
Because Mia came to us from the south, we don''t know her background history. She is likely to need close supervision as she is settling in to her new home. Plenty of exercise will help with her jumpy behavior, as well as structure and boundaries at home. She is currently working on house training, and will need a good schedule to help firm up her skills.
Mia may get along with the right canine companion, but she is a bit forward when meeting other dogs. She lets her excitement get the best of her, and some dogs don''t appreciate that.
Please note, Mia''s adoption will include an additional $100 fee to cover the costs of her trip from the south.
